การ + V

- การ + V (the activity of V-ing)
- การ + V + O (the V-ing of O)
Usage การใช้
การ turns a verb into a noun for the activity: เดินทาง ‘travel’ → การเดินทาง ‘travel, travelling’. It is common in formal and written Thai, in titles and in subjects of sentences. In casual speech, people often use the plain verb instead.

Subtle differences ข้อสังเกต
- การ is for actions (verbs); ความ (TG008) is for states and feelings. การตัดสินใจ ‘decision-making’, ความสุข ‘happiness’.
- In speech, การ is often dropped: ออกกำลังกายดีต่อสุขภาพ is fine.
