Structure โครงสร้าง
- V1 + แล้ว(ก็) + V2 (and then)
- V1 + เสร็จแล้ว + (ค่อย) + V2
- แล้ว + question … (So … ? / And …?)
Usage การใช้
Between two actions, แล้ว or แล้วก็ means ‘and then’, showing that one action follows the other.
เสร็จแล้ว makes it ‘after finishing V1’. ค่อย can be added before V2 to mean ‘only then’.
At the start of a question, แล้ว means ‘So … ? / And …?’ and moves the conversation on.

- อาบน้ำแล้วก็นอน
(I) took a shower and then went to bed. - กินข้าวเสร็จแล้วค่อยไป
Go after you’ve finished eating. - ตรงไปแล้วเลี้ยวขวา
Go straight, then turn right. - แล้วคุณล่ะ จะไปไหม
And what about you? Are you going?
Subtle differences ข้อสังเกต
แล้ว at the end of a clause marks completion (TG124): เขากินข้าวแล้ว ‘He has eaten.’ Adding ก็ (แล้วก็) makes the ‘and then’ meaning clear.
