Usage การใช้
หลังจาก means ‘after’. หลังจากที่ is often used before a clause with its own subject.
With short nouns, plain หลัง is enough: หลังอาหาร ‘after meals’.
In casual speech, people often say V + เสร็จแล้ว instead (TG262).

After work, I’m going to the gym. - หลังจากที่เขาย้ายไปเชียงใหม่ เราก็ไม่ได้เจอกันอีกเลย

There’s a meeting after lunch. - กินยานี้หลังอาหาร
Take this medicine after meals.
Subtle differences ข้อสังเกต
✗ Unnatural: หลังจากที่จะกินข้าว
✓ Use instead: หลังจากกินข้าว (after eating)
Why: จะ belongs to ก่อนที่จะ (‘before’). หลังจาก(ที่) takes no จะ.
