ที่ (at, in)
“At, in” (location)
Structure โครงสร้าง
- V + ที่ + place (at, in)
- อยู่ที่ + place (be at)
Usage การใช้
ที่ marks where something happens: ‘at’ or ‘in’. With อยู่ it says where someone or something is. Words like ใน, บน and ข้าง (TG201) give a more exact position.
Examples ตัวอย่างประโยค
- เจอกันที่ร้านกาแฟนะ
See you at the café. - ตอนนี้ผมอยู่ที่สนามบิน
I’m at the airport now. - เขาทำงานที่โรงพยาบาล
She works at the hospital. - ที่นี่มีห้องน้ำไหม
Is there a toilet here?
Subtle differences ข้อสังเกต
- After อยู่, ที่ is often dropped in speech: อยู่บ้าน ‘at home’, อยู่ออฟฟิศ ‘at the office’.
- With อยู่, ที่ and ใน can both be used for places like a city: อยู่ที่กรุงเทพฯ / อยู่ในกรุงเทพฯ. ใน stresses ‘inside, within’.
