Usage การใช้
นอกจากนี้ means ‘in addition, besides this, furthermore’. It refers back to what was just said and adds another point. It is neutral to formal. In conversation, แล้วก็ … ด้วย / อีก often does the same job.
Do not confuse it with นอกจาก + N + แล้ว (TG284), which names the first item inside the same sentence.

Subtle differences ข้อสังเกต
✗ Unnatural: นอกจากนี้ภาษาไทยแล้ว เขายังพูดจีนได้
✓ Use instead: นอกจากภาษาไทยแล้ว เขายังพูดจีนได้ด้วย (Besides Thai, he also speaks Chinese.)
Why: นอกจากนี้ already means ‘besides this’. To name the item, use นอกจาก + N + แล้ว.
