Emphasis: “totally”, “right away”, “at all” (with ไม่)
Structure โครงสร้าง
- Adj / V + (มาก) เลย (really, totally)
- V + เลย (right away, go ahead)
- ไม่ + V + เลย (not … at all)
- S + เลย + V (so, therefore: see TG265)
Usage การใช้
At the end of a phrase, เลย adds emphasis. After adjectives it means ‘really, totally’: อร่อยมากเลย. After a verb it can mean ‘right away’ or ‘go ahead’: ไปเลย, กินเลย. With ไม่ it means ‘not … at all’ (TG094).
Before a verb, เลย means ‘so, therefore’, which is a different use (TG265).

Subtle differences ข้อสังเกต
Position changes the meaning: ผมไปเลย = ‘I’ll go right away’; ผมเลยไป = ‘so I went’ (TG265).
