Usage การใช้
มักจะ means ‘tend to, usually, often’. It describes habits and general tendencies. It is a little more formal than บ่อย and goes before the verb.

- เขามักจะมาสาย
He usually comes late. - คนไทยมักกินข้าวเหนียวกับส้มตำ
Thais usually eat sticky rice with papaya salad. - ช่วงนี้ฝนมักจะตกตอนบ่าย
It tends to rain in the afternoon this time of year. - วันเสาร์ผมมักจะไปตลาด
I usually go to the market on Saturdays.
Subtle differences ข้อสังเกต
มักจะ (before the verb) vs บ่อย (after the verb, TG232). เขามักจะมาสาย ‘He tends to be late.’ เขามาสายบ่อย ‘He’s often late.’ Both are natural.
