Usage การใช้
กรุณา is the formal ‘please’. It is used in signs, announcements, letters and polite service language: กรุณารอสักครู่ ‘Please wait a moment.’
It sounds too formal in everyday requests to friends.

Subtle differences ข้อสังเกต
✗ Unnatural: (to a friend) กรุณาส่งเกลือให้หน่อย
✓ Use instead: ส่งเกลือให้หน่อย / ช่วยส่งเกลือให้หน่อย (Pass me the salt, please.)
Why: กรุณา sounds like an official notice. Between friends, use ช่วย … หน่อย.
