Structure โครงสร้าง
- ไม่เพียงแต่ + A + แต่ + (S) + ยัง + B + (ด้วย / อีกด้วย)
- ไม่ใช่แค่ + A + (แต่) + ยัง + B (spoken)
Usage การใช้
‘Not only A but also B’. The second part needs ยัง, and usually ด้วย / อีกด้วย. ไม่เพียงแต่ is fairly formal. In speech people say ไม่ใช่แค่ ….

Subtle differences ข้อสังเกต
✗ Unnatural: เธอไม่เพียงแต่สวย แต่ใจดี
✓ Use instead: เธอไม่เพียงแต่สวย แต่ยังใจดีด้วย (She’s not only beautiful but also kind.)
Why: Without ยัง (and ด้วย), แต่ sounds like a plain ‘but’, as if the two qualities were in contrast.
