Prohibition: “don't…!”
Structure โครงสร้าง
- อย่า + V (don’t …!)
- อย่า + V + นะ / เลย (softer)
- อย่าเพิ่ง + V (don’t … yet)
Usage การใช้
อย่า means ‘don’t’ in commands, warnings and advice. It goes at the start, before the verb.
Adding นะ makes it a friendly reminder; อย่า … เลย gently discourages: อย่าไปเลย ‘Better not go.’ อย่าเพิ่ง means ‘don’t … just yet’.

Subtle differences ข้อสังเกต
อย่า vs ห้าม (TG089): อย่า is a personal request or advice; ห้าม is a rule or prohibition, often on signs.
A negative command always uses อย่า. ไม่ลืมหรอก is a statement: ‘(I) won’t forget.’
