Structure โครงสร้าง
- N + นี้ / นั้น / โน้น (this / that / that over there)
- N + CLF + นี้ / นั้น / โน้น (this one / that one)
- อันนี้ / คนนั้น / ตัวโน้น (this one, that person …)
Usage การใช้
นี้, นั้น, โน้น are demonstrative modifiers. They come after the noun, usually with a classifier in between: หนังสือเล่มนี้ ‘this book’.
Many time words use them: วันนี้ ‘today’, ตอนนั้น ‘at that time’, ปีนี้ ‘this year’.

It’s very hot today. - คนนั้นเป็นใคร
Who is that person? - เอาอันนี้ครับ
I’ll take this one. - บ้านหลังโน้นสวยจัง
That house over there is so pretty.
Subtle differences ข้อสังเกต
✗ Unnatural: นี้หนังสือ
✓ Use instead: หนังสือเล่มนี้ (this book)
Why: นี้ always comes after the noun (and classifier).
