Usage การใช้
ขี้ before a verb or adjective describes a habit or personality, usually a negative one: ขี้เกียจ ‘lazy’, ขี้อาย ‘shy’, ขี้ลืม ‘forgetful’, ขี้บ่น ‘always complaining’, ขี้หึง ‘jealous’. It is informal.

Subtle differences ข้อสังเกต
- ขี้ words are mostly fixed expressions; you cannot add ขี้ to any verb. A few are positive or neutral: ขี้เล่น ‘playful’.
- Saying ขี้ + Adj to someone’s face can sound rude, especially with older people.
