Usage การใช้
สำหรับ means ‘for’ in the sense of purpose or intended user: ห้องนี้สำหรับนักเรียน ‘this room is for students’. At the start of a sentence it introduces a topic: สำหรับผม … ‘as for me …’.

Subtle differences ข้อสังเกต
✗ Unnatural: ผมซื้อดอกไม้สำหรับแม่
✓ Use instead: ผมซื้อดอกไม้ให้แม่ (I bought flowers for Mum.)
Why: To do something for a person, Thai uses ให้ (TG178). สำหรับ here sounds like a translated sentence.
