“Other, else”
Structure โครงสร้าง
- N + อื่น (other N, another N)
- N + อื่น ๆ (other N, the rest)
- ที่อื่น / คนอื่น / อย่างอื่น (elsewhere, others, something else)
Usage การใช้
อื่น means ‘other, else’ and follows the noun: สีอื่น ‘another colour’, คนอื่น ‘other people’. อื่น ๆ suggests ‘various others’ or ‘etc.’ at the end of a list.

- มีสีอื่นไหม
Do you have other colours? - ลองไปถามคนอื่นดู
Try asking someone else. - ไปกินที่อื่นเถอะ
Let’s eat somewhere else. - ผลไม้ เช่น มะม่วง กล้วย และอื่น ๆ

Subtle differences ข้อสังเกต
อื่น (other) vs อีก (another, more): ขอแก้วอื่น = ‘a different glass’; ขออีกแก้ว = ‘one more glass’.
