Structure โครงสร้าง
- (S) + V + เมื่อไร / เมื่อไหร่ ? (when?)
- เมื่อไร + (S) + จะ + V ? (when (on earth) will …?, impatient)
Usage การใช้
เมื่อไร means ‘when?’. It usually goes at the end of the question. เมื่อไหร่ is the common spelling of the spoken form.
At the start of the sentence it sounds impatient: เมื่อไรจะเสร็จ ‘When will it ever be finished?’

Subtle differences ข้อสังเกต
For a specific clock time, กี่โมง ‘what time?’ is more natural: ร้านเปิดกี่โมง (TG151).
เมื่อไร with ก็ means ‘any time’: มาเมื่อไรก็ได้ (TG308).
