Structure โครงสร้าง
- N + CLF + ที่ + number (the …th N)
- ครั้งที่ / วันที่ / ชั้นที่ + number
- ที่หนึ่ง (first, first place); แรก (first, as in คนแรก)
Usage การใช้
Ordinal numbers are formed with ที่ + number after the classifier: ลูกคนที่สอง ‘the second child’.
‘First’ also has a special form, แรก: ครั้งแรก ‘the first time’, คนแรก ‘the first person’. ‘Last’ is สุดท้าย.

My second child studies in Chiang Mai. - ห้องเราอยู่ชั้นที่ห้า
Our room is on the fifth floor. - นี่เป็นครั้งแรกที่ผมมาเมืองไทย
This is my first time in Thailand. - เขาได้ที่หนึ่ง
She came first.
Subtle differences ข้อสังเกต
ที่ + number (ordinal) vs number alone (cardinal): ลูกสองคน = ‘two children’; ลูกคนที่สอง = ‘the second child’.
