“As for…” (contrast between topics)

- clause about A, + ส่วน + B + (ก็) + clause
- ส่วน + topic + (ล่ะ) (as for …?)
Usage การใช้
ส่วน means ‘as for, while’. It switches the topic to a second person or thing for a neutral comparison: ‘A does this, (and) as for B, B does that.’
Compared with แต่, ส่วน is neutral: it simply sets two facts side by side. แต่ suggests a contrast or conflict.
As a noun, ส่วน means ‘part’: ส่วนใหญ่ ‘mostly’, ส่วนตัว ‘personally, private’.
