Structure โครงสร้าง
- S + ได้รับ + N (receive)
- S + ได้รับ + V / N (be …-ed: positive, formal)
- S + ได้รับ + N + จาก + person
Usage การใช้
ได้รับ means ‘receive’ and also works as a polite, positive passive: ได้รับเชิญ ‘be invited’, ได้รับอนุญาต ‘be permitted’, ได้รับรางวัล ‘receive an award’. It is common in formal and written Thai.

I was invited to the wedding. - เธอได้รับรางวัลนักเรียนดีเด่น
She received the outstanding student award. - ได้รับอีเมลแล้วครับ ขอบคุณครับ

This project is supported by the government.
Subtle differences ข้อสังเกต
ได้รับ is formal. In speech, for physical things, ได้ is enough: ได้ของขวัญ ‘got a present’.
